Tyree Smith is a visionary leader in Creative Placemaking, known for transforming public spaces and empowering communities through innovative art and cultural experiences. With over a decade of experience as a creative placemaking expert, arts entrepreneur, and community revitalization strategist, he has led groundbreaking initiatives that redefine how people engage with their environments. As the Founder of ARTlanta Gallery, Tyree has drawn thousands through curated exhibitions and events, and his pop-up sushi restaurant, Okami, showcases his flair for blending creativity across industries. His latest project, CHACE Village, furthers his mission to support local creatives and foster positive change.

Tyree’s leadership extends to major civic roles, including serving as VP Chair of the Fort Mac Public Art Council, a member of the MARTA En Route Art Council, and a 2018 jury panelist for Art on the Beltline. As former Public Arts Council President at Fort McPherson, he spearheaded the transformation of a 150-acre redevelopment project, converting an old firehouse into artist studios, organizing art fairs, and launching youth arts programs that engaged hundreds of residents. Through his work, Tyree continues to shape Atlanta’s cultural landscape with a commitment to accessibility, community connection, and immersive artistic expression.

Bem Joiner is a living testament to the dynamic, ever-evolving culture of Atlanta. Born and raised in the city, he has dedicated his life to shaping its identity and amplifying its influence. As a co-founder of Atlanta Influences Everything, a creative consultancy that’s both civic-minded and culturally astute, Joiner has played a key role in making Atlanta’s culture not just cool but captivating globally. His work spans across various industries, managing and consulting for renowned brands like Sprite, Jack Daniels, Nissan, and the National Black Arts Festival.

His contributions extend beyond marketing; Joiner has helped design impactful community programs and booked “early-adopter” shows for artists like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and Goodie Mob. With ventures like CreativeCall.org, a global collaboration between Atlanta and Stockholm creatives, and a leadership role at 8 Strains, a cannabis and meta start-up in San Francisco, Bem’s influence transcends codification. A passionate advocate for community engagement, he also serves on the boards of several nonprofits, including Oakland Cemetery, The Wren’s Nest, The People United, and The Atlanta Land Trust.
